Adoro te devote, latens Deitas.
I devoutly adore You, hidden God.
-St. Thomas Aquinas
Mission
Adoro is Latin for “I adore.”
This app exists to help lay Catholics forge a personal Rule of Life: a steadfast plan to adore God, to love those He has entrusted to our care, and to take up the spiritual combat as warriors for Christ.
We draw on the great teachers of the Church in every age—and on the best faithful voices of our own day—so that sacred tradition and living wisdom walk together: the Divine Office, Latin prayer, the sacraments, and the daily work of spiritual warfare. Our weapons are prayer, grace, and virtue—the armor of God.
“The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.”
—G.K. Chesterton
The Church teaches that we on earth are still in the fight for our souls, our children and marriages, our priests and religious, our neighbors and friends, and the souls in Purgatory. We persevere by remaining in the state of grace, building virtue, and overcoming vice. The war is already won in Christ; we keep the day’s watch.

Day 0 of 30
Thirty days kept is the goal. The book suggests consecutive days. A missed day does not erase what you have already kept. Stored on this phone only.
The Church is Triumphant in heaven, Suffering in purgatory, and Militant on earth. We are the Church Militant. Saint Paul teaches: “For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places.” (Ephesians 6:12) Many Catholics do not take this war seriously. For that reason the Auxilium Christianorum was founded.
You may join: Auxilium Christianorum. Its principal aim is to provide prayers for priests, laity, family, and friends, so that they are not adversely affected by the demonic.
All that is required to be a member is that one says the daily prayers (find them here). If one decides to cease one’s association with the Auxilium Christianorum, one simply stops saying the prayers. There is no other requirement in order to be a member. Prior to becoming a member of the Auxilium Christianorum, the layman is strongly exhorted to consult his spiritual director or confessor. The members of the association should be aware that none of these requirements bind under the pain of sin. From the Association’s FAQ.
Our homes are called the domestic Church. Carve out a small sanctuary there to reflect the love and light of God.
