Go to confession (the week before or today, if needed). Receive Holy Communion in the state of grace. Offer the day in reparation.
A plenary indulgence is attached to the Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart on the Feast of the Sacred Heart under the usual conditions: confession, Communion, prayer for the Pope’s intentions, and detachment from all sin. First Friday itself is the monthly devotion of reparation.
